In "Lewis Co, TN Cemetery Records" by Marjorie B Graves, (c)1979, page 13 I have found in the listing for Condor Cemetery:
"...A few yards from here is the site of the Tennessee Mormon Massacre, which occured on 10 Aug 1884, which was a Sunday morning. Also killed were Elders William B Berry and John H Gibbs of the Mormon Church and Dave Hinson of Cane Creek in Hickman Co. Mrs Condor was wounded in the hip and was a criple as a result."
On page 18, Mrs.. Graves states:
"The above mentioned Malinda Carroll Condor was the daughter of Sterling and Ann Carroll and the mother of John Riley Hutson and William Martin Condor who were killed 10 Aug 1884 at the Mormon Massacre."
In a book in the NC Archives with information on Lewis and Perry Co, TN, there is a partial transcript of a newspaper article written several years after the fact that details the massacre. I thought I had photocopied those pages but I cannot find them at the moment. I will need to go to the archives to retrieve the book again and make copies.
