In 1850 my Great Great Grandparents were farming in Linden, Perry, TN. James "NIGHT" (DOB 1826), Martha A "Night" (1830), Daughter Caladona (1847) & son Masenus Franklin "Frank" Night (1848). Next farm over was a Jordan Night (1829), Sarah (1830) and son James I. (1848). Appears to be a brother's family. After 1857 Jordan went to Arkansas. James and Martha with expaded family were still in Perry County in 1860. In 1870 a widowed Martha A "KNIGHT" with 6 children, appeared in Decaturville, Decatur, TN. Among them were my Great Grand Father, William James Knight (1854) and his brother Thomas Wesley Knight. James Night/Knight may have been a casualty in the Civil War. In 1880 Martha A and children were in Pen Hook, Lawrence, AL. Thomas was married to Mary Broadway. James married my Great Grandmother Anna Letha Chenault. By 1882 they were all back in Decatur County, where my Grand Mother Mattie Knight (1882)was born. By 1900 Martha A Knight was gone and buried at Mt Carmel Cemetery in Decatur County. William James' family was in TX. Thomas Wesley stayed in Decatur County till his death in 1926. Frank Knight died (at age 84)in Perry county along with his sister Martha Elizabeth Knight (Treece). They are at Mt Auburn Cemetery.. I AM LOOKING FOR James NIGHT's ancestor line, Martha A Night's maiden name and where was James Night/Knight buried! Thanks for any help you can render!
