Seeking info on Stephen STRICKLAND, who was born circa 1786. He was married to (1) Sarah MATLOCK and their children included:
Luke, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Benjamin,Thomas, and Martha.
His 2nd. wife was Elizabeth GARRETT; their children included Stephen Downs, Polly Ann, Sarah Ann, Cassandra, Susan Ann, John Monroe, and Louisa Ann.
Stephen died and is buried in Linden, Perry County, TN.
I am told the old "home place" was still standing, at least a few years ago.
Can anyone help me with info on the STRICKLANDS or MATLOCKS?
