Ron, My earliest known ancestors, ______Scribner, b. ca 1743, m. Dorothy (Dolly) ______, b. ca 1745; Dolly's last name thought to possibly have been Smith, because they named their first son Lewis Smith Scribner. They were in NC and TN, and it is known that their grandson, Green Scribner & spouse Gilley Roberts had lived in Pickett and Overton Cos. Have you a Dolly "Smith" in that era, possibly connected to a Scribner? Their sons, Lewis Smith Scribner b. ca l765, William Scribner b. ca. 1769, and Pleasant Scribner b. 1781.
