Thanks to Don Garrison of the Geary County Historical Society, Junction City, KS, who located the following obituary in the "Junction City Union", Jan 15/16, 1975 --- "William Howard Lemons, 62, of 1309 North Monroe, died Jan 14, at St. John's Hospital, Salina [Kansas], following an eight-day hospitalization. He was born Jan 18, 1912, in Grassy Cove, Tenn. "Mr. Lemons moved from Cotter, Ark., to Junction City in 1940. He was married to Hattie Sewell, June 11, 1938, in Gainesville, Mo. She survives. He was a retired railroad employee and was a member of the Union Pacific Oldtimers Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. "Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Christensen, DePere, Wis.; Mrs. Sandra Taylor, Enon, Ohio; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Lemons and one sister, Miss Margaret Lemons, both of Avon Park, Fla. "...Burial will be in Highland Cemetery [Junction City, KS]...." Notify Administrator about this message?
