Thompsons in Rhea County ,1870, before and after

In the 1870 census for Rhea County, Tn., Civil Dist. #6, with post office shown as Washington there is the following family: Martha Thompson, Age 40---Maree Caroline born 1856 (age 14), Eliza Jane born 1858( age 12) and Manerva born 1860 (age 10).
This same family was posted on the 1860 Census for Bradley County,Tn. with a Richard Thompson born 1830 and Martha is shown as being born in 1822. I believe she was born 1830 and was really age 40 in 1870 as that census shows.
Richard is not with them in 1870.
DOES THIS FAMILY BELONG TO ANYONE OUT THERE???? DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEM?
Was Richard his first name or middle name because I can't find him before , during or after the Civil War and I know he went to war. He was my gggrandfather. What was Martha's maiden name, was it Jackson?
Did either Martha or Richard's families live in either of these counties? Were the Seaborns, Breedings , etc. any of those neighbors family to them and did Martha and the girls go to live close to them after Richard died?
Where would he be buried? I just can't find any of them and time is running short for me because I am getting old now. I want to find these people and pass this on to my family.
Wanda
