This is not rumor -- this is just wild speculation that might give you someplace to look at and try to find what you need.

The Andrew Cunningham who (from his census) was born circa 1778 in SC was in Knox in 1850 and Jefferson in 1860. I think it COULD be worthwhile to try to learn more about him. He just has a faint aroma of being a possible solution. If the Benjamin Cunningham of interest to you was born ca 1797 (as your message indicates), that is a little tight for Andrew Cunningham (given how men tended to marry in that time) but not out of the question. --Carl
