I am searching for any information on a Frances (Fanny) Kemp and the Kemp family.
Frances was born abt. 1847 and all records show her named as Frances or Fanny, however, one piece of information indicates that her first name began with a "J", as the grave marker for one of her sons states:
"Matt Carter, son of A.C. and J.F. Carter"
Frances married Andrew (Andy) Carter and the 1870 census records show that the family was by then living in Difficult TN.
The only information that I've found that has even come close to the information that I have on Frances is a Julia Kemp, born in 1847 who was living in Wilson County TN with her mother and sister in 1860.
I would greatly appreciate any information on the Kemp Family or even a good guess as to what branch of the Kemp family Frances was related to...
