I am attempting to find which branch of the Kemp family that my gg-grandmother might have belonged to.
I recently learned that my gg-grandmother was Frances/Fannie Kemp. Frances was b. 1847 and married Andrew Carter in about 1865 - 66. Andrew, b. 1847 in Macon County, was the son of Harlan Carter and Joanna Davis.
I also have a photo of a grave site of one of Frances's sons "Andrew Mat. Carter" wherein her 1st name is inscribed on the grave marker as J.F.
If anyone can provide any information re J. Frances/Fannie Kemp Carter or her Kemp family, I would really appreciate it. Thanks ~ Judy
