I am searching for information on the Elrod families of Smith Co., TN.
This is not my line; however, I want to do something for a very kind man, Roy Holland Elrod, who is the widower of a distant cousin. Roy's wife was Malda Scheihagen (Chandler) Elrod.
The thumbnail of his ancestry is that he descends from:
1. Ephriam and Nancy Ann (McDonald) Elrod
2. William E. and Mary Catherine "Kit" (Heard) Elrod
3. William Trousdale and Cordelia (Holland) Elrod
4. Roy Holland and Nina (Wallace) Elrod
5. Roy Jr. m. Malda ... they had no children.
Roy is 89 and would very much like to make contact with some of the descendants of his aunts/uncles, etc. or other distant Elrod cousins.
William Trousdale Elrod's children were:
1. Jesse Lee Elrod b. Bonham, TX d. San Angelo, TX
2. Roy himself b. Muleshoe, Bailey Co., TX
3. Helen Elrod b. OK
4. Carl Curtis Elrod b. OK d. San Angelo, TX
5. Novilla Elrod b. OK
6. Thomas J Elrod b. OK
7. William H Elrod b. OK
William Trousdale Elrod and Cordelia (Holland) Elrod both died in Texas. William Trousdale Elrod was born in Smith Co., TN. He may have married Cordelia Holland there as well?
