I am doing research on my surname Jones. I am looking for information on Benjamin Jones and his family when they were in TN around 1795 to 1817. The members of the family I know about are Benjamin and two sons Bowling and Mark Ephraim Jones. A bible entry has Benjamin being born March 23, 1762 and he died July 26, 1844 in IL. I don't know the state he was born in. The children I know about are two sons, Bowling was born in TN about 1804 and died May 16, 1858 in IL and Mark Ephraim was born in TN March 31, 1811 and died Sept 19, 1851 in IL.
If you have run across or heard of this family I would appreciate any information that you might have.
I don't know where in TN Benjamin and his family came from.
