John Scott (1749-1811) was one of the first settlers in Watauga arriving in about 1778. He was married to Mary McCorkle. I think he had three sons: William, John, and Joseph. I understand he had two daughters: Elizabeth and Jane. I need any information about his sons: William and John. Similar information needed about the girls and their lives. Did John or Mary have any brothers or sisters settle Watauga? Does anyone know locations, dates, and history of where John and Mary came from before Watauga? Any early history appreciated!! I am a descendant from John and Mary Scott and their son Joseph Scott.
