looking for info on the family of
Jacob Rogers (b. 1827~1831 TN) and
Ellen (Eleanor) (b. 1831~1835 TN)
she may be daughter of Mary Shoemaker (b. ~1800 VA)
their children were:
William Henry (b.~1854)
Ida (b. 1855) m1. William McKamey, m2. William H. White
Sarah H. (b.~1857) prob. died young
Virginia (b.~1859) prob. died young
Jefferson D. (b.~1861)
Eva L. (b.~1863)
Emma L. (b.~1865)
James (b.~1869)
Molly (b.~1870)
Frank (b.~1874)
Found many census records, looking for more info.
William McKamey and Ida apparently only 1 child:
George Eugene McKamey (b. 17 JUL 1882 Bristol, TN)
who was my great-grandfather.
I noticed another poster posted this in this forum:
"Ellen Shumaker b 24 Jul 1828 D 18 Dec 1910 m Jacob Rogers. And Susan Shumaker b 22 Mar 1833 d 3 Dec 1910 M James Rogers. Note how close these ladies died.
They lived in Blountville, and are in the Old Blountville Cemetery."
