I am not really sure. Based on the information you have on the rootsweb site for Thomas and Susan, it looks like you may be talking about the Thomas Glover that is listed in the 1840 Census for Sullivan County. There is a John Glover on that same page. I think he is the John Glover that may have lived briefly in Carter County in the 1820s- he apparently lived in the Stoney Creek area.

I am a descendent of Stephen Glover (born about 1805) that moved from Sullivan County to the Valley Forge area of Carter County between 1840 and 1850.

I don't think anyone has been able to establish the exact relationship of the early Sullivan County Glovers. It seems the best guess is that they are all descendents of the Revolutionary War Soldier Richard Glover (born about 1854 in Maryland) who moved to Sullivan County in the mid to late 1780s.
