My great grandfather was Baron George Ritter von Tomasini. He was a career soldier. He was born May 1819-the year is unsure- in we believe the vicinity of Budapest, Hungary at that time part of the Austrian Empire. He referred to himself as Austrian and Hungarian. He was married twice. He had four children by his first wife, name unknown. We believe he had two boys and two girls. He came to Mexico to fight with Maximilian about 1862-1865. After this he went to New Orleans and then to Texas where he lived until his death. He either married my great grandmother Eva Elinor Weiland on his way over or sometime around 1863. Their first daughter was born in 1867 in Louisianna, the other 3 children were born in Texas. Maybe you are descended from one of the Baron's sons by his first wife. If any of this sounds familiar please contact me at Thanks, Goldie
