I cannot recall if I might have contacted you before this, but I have been searching, for many years now, to find the exact village from which my maternal Grandmother, Sohpia Tomczak, came from. I know her father was named Andreas Tomczak. She was born in 1867, and I know she had a brother, Thomas. She emigrated to someplace in PA, in May of 1879, at 12 years of age to live, supposedly with a brother, who worked in the mines there. Rumor was that he was killed in a mine accident, and she remained in PA, until some Bay City, Michigan relatives brought her there. How far back have you traced your lineage? Is it possible this could be the same family line?
