I also had a Tomscak ancestor in Poznan. Her name was Kunegunka Tomszak, wife of John Chwialkowski. Her daughter Josephine Chwialkowski married Thomas Kostrzewski of Koniaty, Poznan, Poland in 1883 and they immigrated in 1884 to Bloomington, Illinois, USA. They lived there for 2 years and then moved to Stephen, MN in 1886. Their children were Theodore, Frances, Martin, Steve S, Anna, John Stanley, and Walenty (William). Their daughter Frances married Andrew Gryskiewicz and they became my gr-grandparents.
I would love to hear from anyone who knows more about Poznan's Kunegunka and John (Tomscak) Chwialkowski or the family of Thomas Kostrzewski.
