My great grandfather Lawrence (parents were Jan or John and Agnes Tomczak) came to the U.S. 1877. His wife Lucy came over from Poland in 1878 with three children, Catherine, Frances and Louis. Louis is my grandfather. Lawrence had two known brothers, Michael born in 1854 in Poznan and died in Bay City, Michigan in 1939 (came to the U.S. in 1880). Anthony was born in 1856 and that is all we know. I have been told by an 86 year old aunt that Anthony was here, but then left the area and was never heard from again. Maybe this can help.
