Laurie, Thank you very much. I'm hoping that maybe you are putting me on the right trail to find my Grandmother's records in Poland. I know she was related to a Michael Tomczak whom I believe is the one who married a Kujawa, and I know Lucy was a cousin. Michael arrived one year after my Grandmother. He had stated in her application for citizenship that she also left from Hamburg, but had a search done and they couldn't find it. She arrived in New York in May of 1879 on ship Victoria, which searcher said arrived from London. She thought she could possibly have left from Hamburg but in a different ship. She was only 12 at the time and think both her parents, Andreas Tomczak and Franciska Szlapek (not certain of spelling) were dead. She supposedly went to a brothers in PA. She did have a brother Thomas and he had son Stanislaus, whom I met. Any thing you have would be very welcome as I'm determined to try and find more about her family over there, but really need to find village location where she was from. I'll see what I can find from this Drzazgowo area, or do you have source of records from there. Thanks very, very much.
