Benjamin Tonks from West Bromwich, Staffordshire,
Posted by: Jan Vernon Date: January 18, 2002 at 23:52:30

My research has taken me back to a marriage between Benjamin Tonks and Catherine Jones on 7th August, 1831 at St. Martins Church, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England. However Benjamin and Catherine had all their children baptised at All Saints Church, West Bromwich in Staffordshire. Mary in 1826 and Ann in 1828 prior to their marriage. Then Richard in 1832, Catherine in 1838 and William in 1841. When daughter Ann married in 1847, Benjamin's occupation was listed as Malster.

Does any of this sound familiar to any one else?
