Hello Jean
Have only seen your message recently. I'm having a bit of a problem trying to trace my Tonks relatives. All I can tell you at the moment is that John and his son, Edward, were both boatmen, and they were both born in Gloucester. They lived in South Hamlet, but I don't know when they moved to Birmingham. Can you tell me where you found the list of boatmen?
