I know I am replying to a series of old posts, but I just found this site. I am the grandson of Harry C. Tonks of New Jersey who died in the early 1950's. His brother was Russell Tonks. As a child I played with a set of mother of pearl poker chips that my father told me were manufactured in the family button factory. I still have them in my possession. He told me that the button factory eventually went out of business do to the invention of the zipper. Any contact will be appreciated.
