hi alan around 1876 my gt grandfather was born,my family are from the bridge town and chadsmoor areas of cannock, and un confirmed links of italian decendensy have passed down the generations .im sorry idont have any more information on richard as i am currently working on his file but his children are my grandfather arthur james tonks born 1914 died1996 living in the walsall district having moved their when he married my nan adeline lois fern bornfeb 1914 died in 1988,my grandfathr was one of several children the ones i know wher harold,joe ,richard and ibelive their was a mable but i think she was married to one of the brothers and not a tonks bybirth.arthur james tonks was a miner in his working days but was injured in the mine and stopped working.his children, james arthur tonks my dad, richard colin marie graham.hope this of use to you, karon.
