My husband's grandfather was Edward Tonks born in Aston about 1887, he married Florence Victoria Nash about 1910.
On the 1901 & 1891 censuses, Edward is down as living with his uncle James Sheldon, his wife Phoebe and their children. In 1891 he was only 4 years old. Did his parents die when he was young?
In 1901 his occupation was Messenger boy, in later life he was a sheet metal worker. He died in 1945 in Gloucester City Hospital aged 58.
Anyone know this family?
