In the 1851 Gloucester census there is a record of Caroline Tustin aged 2 years. In the 1851 British census there is a Caroline Tonks age 31, living in Gloucester with Mary 11, Jane 9, and Henry 4. No sign of John although there is a John Tonks 37, a boatman, living at Worcester Wharf at the time of the census
