Frederick and Frank Tonks
Posted by: Donna Townsend (ID *****7671) Date: July 07, 2005 at 16:48:27

Has anyone heard of John And Lillian Tonks who had a son Frank in 1912? Frank (we think) was born in Aston, Birmingham UK, and he died in Burma in 1944 - he was a SGT in the catering corp. He was 32 when he died, he was married to Doris and they were then living in Colchester Essex.

I think there was another son called Frederick and possibly one other sibling.

I believe John and Lilian were Catholics and deeply religious and a rift came between them and Frank when he married a non catholic.

If anyone has any history of this side of the Tonks family I would dearly love to hear from you. Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
