Tonks, Tailor, Small Heath, Birmingham

Hi there.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I believe I am right in thinking My great Grandfather went by the name of Tonks, and was a tailor in Small Heath, Birmingham.

Does anyone know his other names? Apparently he had a daughter called (Ellen?)who would have been my Grandma, but she died when my father was a boy.

I would really like to know the origin of the Tonks name if anyone can tell me.

Thankyou.

Beorc.
