Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

To Dick
Our Tonks family were from Birmingham and were of brass founding heritage. Our Charles Tonks born born 17/12/1813 was transported to Australia as a convict. His parents were Thomas, a brass founder and Elizabeth?. When Thomas died, Elizabeth married a Joseph Watton. Our family is apparently connected to William but this has not been proven.
