Hello Richard.

I am related to many of the TONKS families of Utah.

I have been trying to resolve the records surrounding William TONKS of Morgan County, Utah and his wife Martha Derricott in the 1800's.

The Ancestral File records that this couple had 7 children.

This may not be the case. The first child shown as theirs (Elizabeth Manwin Tonks) appears to be Martha's prior to he marriage to William.

The ships roster shows Martha was a spinster when she emmigrated to the US.

We have not yet resolved the later children as being either Martha's, Williams or both.

Any connection to your family?
