Roger Touhy, or his brother Tommy

I lived in Park Forest, Ill in the late 1950's. One of the families living in our apartment complex was Tom Turner, his daughter and his mother. Sometime in 1959 or early 1960 Tom Turner's brother Bud was introduced as a family member who had just moved back into town. The brother was only with Tom and family for a few weeks and then gone again. Being a youngster, I wasn't given information about Bud or the Turner family. I overheard my parents discussing the fact that Bud had been recently released from prison. In 1961 after we moved to California, my parents received a letter and newspaper clippings from friends in Park Forest. I glimpsed the clippings and briefly saw a picture of Bud Turner and headlines about his murder - something to the effect that it was "gangland style" in the same manner that his father was killed. I have since come to believe the Turner family was actually Roger Touhy's wife, son Tom and granddaughter and Bud was actually Roger Touhy Jr. Is there any connection and truth to my belief? I've been very curious for many years and took the opportunity of the internet to do some research. I would appreciate a response.
