Family of John Elbert (Tom) Tooley of KY

My fiance's knowledge of her mother's family tree ends with her mother's father. He was John Elbert Tooley, called (for some reason) Tom. He was born abt. 1892 and died in Central City KY in 1956. His parents were named John Shelton Tooley and Mary (?).(I suspect that John Shelton died abt 1927 in muhlenberg Co., but I'm uncertain. I suspect he was born in Muhlenberg Co. but haven't found proof. He was a miner in Ohio Cnty, KY from about 1912 or 1913 until he had to quit because of black-lung. Brother named George, sisters named Cordie (moved to Calif.) and Lillie (married names 1st Dexter then Holmes). John Elbert was living with his sister in 1900 and the Census lists their father and them as being born in KY and their mom in TN. The 1910 Census says KY on all accounts. John Elbert married Kathryn Turley of Rockport, KY. in 1913. Any leads? I live in Nashville, TN. if I can return any favors with look-ups. Jim
