I don't have anything identifable on Israel's family, only a theory. Going back to the 1840 census, there is an Israel Tooley listed in the Lewis County NY census, along with a Job Tooley. On the 1850, Israel also claims he's born in VT. Job Tooley, born in the 1770's is probably the son of
Josiah Tooley, b 14 Feb 1751 Killingworth CT d VT. If this is the case, I have the line for you back to Christopher Tooley.
