James Tooley was the 11th child of Samuel Tooley and Leticia Lamkin and was born in Renfrew, Ontario Canada. The family had moved just before that from Lewis Co NY. Samuel and his brother Lemuel (my line) were following the lumbering industry; Samuel owned a lumber mill there. Samuel was born in 1790 in CT and died in 1854 in Renfrew. I have more information on the family backwards if you are interested. I also have information on most of the lines of James brother & sisters, but I don't have much on him, so very happy to share.
