My guess is that your family is part of the Elsworth or Elmer Tooley family. The 1930 census shows:

1930 ND Barnes Valley City
Tooley, Sarah       head       90       wd       OH       Scotland       VT
Tooley, Ellis       son       65       wd       MI       OH       OH       horse trader
Tooley, Harold       gson       15       s       MI       US       IL
Tooley, Lillie       gdau       12       s       MT       US       IL

Sarah was the wife of Joseph Tooley:
       4. Joseph Tooley, born 1837 in Canada; died Aft. 1880 in prob Calhoun Co MI. He was the son of 8. Noah Tooley and 9. Ann Jordan. He married 5. Sarah S McLaflin March 16, 1861 in Calhoun Co MI.
       5. Sarah S McLaflin, born 1840 in OH; died Aft. 1930 in prob Valley City, Barnes ND.

Children of Joseph Tooley and Sarah McLaflin are:
2       i.       Ellsworth Tooley, born 1863 in MI; died Aft. 1930 in prob Valley City, Barnes ND.
ii.       Elmer Tooley, born October 1869.

Joseph's parents are:

       8. Noah Tooley, born September 16, 1814 in NY; died Aft. 1870 in prob Calhoun Co MI. He was the son of 16. Samuel Tooley and 17. Leticia L. Lamkin. He married 9. Ann Jordan.
       9. Ann Jordan, born 1815 in Ireland; died Aft. 1870 in prob Calhoun Co MI.
