My great grandmother was a Susannah Hilton (nee Tooley) born in Algerkirk, Lincolnshire in 1874. Her first husband was a John H Houghton and in 1901 they were living in Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, (where the bulk of my family still live) next door to a James Tooley who was born in 1840 and from the 1851 census information, was a brother to your Mahala. I cant trace my Tooley line past my great great grandparents, an Elias George Tooley born in Sutterton in 1847 and hsi wife Susannah. Any connection?
