Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I also have a link between Topham and Towell but not sure how or if it fits in since your Towells ended up in Michigan. (I don't suppose any of them came back??) In my tree a Jane Towell(Towl) was the second wife of John Thomas Marrows, my great grandfather. His first wife was Ellen Daft. Both John Thomas and Jane died in 1925, quite cose to each other, and were buried in Canwick Rd. Cemetery, Lincoln.
John Thomas's (and Ellen's)daughter, Alice, married Herbert Tom Topham and their son, John Thomas Topham, was my father.
The Tophams were living in Aubourn and I am trying to confirm details about a John Topham who was born circa 1811 in Aubourn. (There are also Topham links to Metheringham). This John's parents could well have been Thomas Topham and Mary Goodwin whose fourth child was Isaac, born 1810 in Aubourn. I am beginnning to think that John might have been their fifth child but, as yet, have no documentary proof. Hope this is of interest. Tim
