Topham Family Crest

I have a crast with the motto:

There is a lion in rampant with an additonal lion in rampant at the top of the crest who is holding a arrow (maybe a broken arrow) this we understand was added to later.

We know that from the mid 1800's the crest has been passed down to the eldest daughter.
Why? This crest is approx 300 years old.

We have always been led to believe that there are two of these crests in existence.
We have been told that the other crest is in the posssession of a lady who is connected (or was) with Aintree Racecourse in England.

I would be pleased to hear from anyone who could shed some light on this matter.
