Hi Julie,

John Topham and Polly Howland were my x4 grandparents. They were married in Frederiction, NB. They had 2 daughters before Polly died. One married William Witzell, a business partner of John Topham's (Topham and Witzell-a logging operation in Shippegan, NB) The other married Gilbert Duke, who was a co-founder of Upper Pokemouche with John Topham. Both Topham and Witzell arrived in NA aboard British Man of War ships as revolutionary soldiers. I haven't located anything on Polly but likely the Howlands settled in Carleton County NB as relocated loyalists. Hope this helps and maybe we can help each other go further.
