Hi Judy,

Not sure if this is a help or not.

I found in the census that Nelson (1813- ) and Nancy (1814- ) are in Scott, Indiana and have four children:
Alvina 1835
William 1839
Francis 1843
Heller 1848

I found that in July of 1835, Nelson reports that his wife no longer wants to live with him and he renounces all debts that she incurs. He was at Clymer, NY and the article was in the Jamestown newpaper. His wife is not named.

In my Torrance files
I find a family of 6 kids and the first is Nelson Torrance born in 1811.
The other kids are"
Clorinda 1813
Euphrata (1814-1902)
Marvin (1815-1892)
Corydon (1819- )
Atline (1819- )

They live in the Randolph, NY area.

The parents are:
Sheldon Torrance (1785-1865) x 1810 Rhoda Jackson (1788-1834)

The trouble is that I only have Nelson listed and no spouse or no family.

This likely is the same fellow, but I do not know. If YOU believe it is the same person, I'd like to know about his wife and kids, grandkids and so on.

I only use year dates and show year born, year died and year married as well as a location where they lived.

With the unusual names for the siblings, this may be easy to track.

Euphretta married a Hildon
Atlaine married a Van Renselaer Sage
