In regard to your info:
'Melvin (4) was born in 1784 and died c 1816. He married Catherine Severance in 1813 and they lived in Pembroke'

...in my notes, I have a reply from a lookup on baptism dates recorded in Brookfield, Worchester Co:
William's children:
Jeduthan...
John...
Polly...
Melvin....
'the first three stayed in western MA; Melvin moved to Dedham, MA where he married and died.
