Great to find someone to work on this family with. I hope you can tell me what happened to Eunice (GIBBS) TORRANCE. She was wife of Jeduthan Sr and mother of the big Torrance clan. After Jeduthan Sr died in Hadley, MA in 1848, Eunice went back to Enfield to live with her son John and family. She's there in 1850. Then what? Some researchers say that she went out to Oregon and died abt 1865. Is this true?

I have problems with John Torrance (1777-bef1845) John is Jeduthan Sr's brother, b Brookfield, MA. Some docs state his wife's name as 'Chloe BARTLETT' and others as 'Clorinda MIXTER'. I can't find much on either name. Are Chloe and Clorinda the same person?

I have a wonderful Last Will and Testament for Alexander Torrance of Pelham, MA. It names all his children including our direct ancestor William Torrance, father of Jeduthan Sr. It's not a great photocopy/scan, but I put it in sepia tone and that helps. I've made a transcript of it as well. The other goody I have is Alexander's home and farm inventory. Again, not a great copy, but sepia tone helps and a transcript is included. I really like inventories. Interested? I'd be happy to email it to you.
