Hi Mary,

I checked out the family and the only information I do not have is whether Robert who married and lived in Missouri, went to Oregon with a cousin, William S Torrence.

The first Robert (1797-1871) did marry Betsy Kinder and they were the parents of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Torrence.
This is on Page 5-17 and Robert is a Generation 7 and Lizzie is a Generation 8.

Second Robert (Generation 8) is shown on 5-17 and 5-19 and settled in Jefferson County, MO. This is likely the county with Jefferson City, and if so is on the Missouri River and the City is the State Capitol.

William Sinclair Torrance is on Page 5-6 and is a gneration 8 (1824-1902). He went west to Oregon and remained there.

Since both Robert 2 and William S are from Generation 8, they are probably second cousins.

If interested, I could send the three pages so you can see all the sibling of the three men.

My way of organizing the family makes it easy to spot family relationships. These folks are clearly closely related.

Thanks for the note. It is always good to review the material.

Tom
