The two Gerald Arthur Torrence men are in my Chapter 8 of the Torrence family.
What is curious is that the older man was born in Teheran, Persia in 1887. That means his dad, William Wilson Torrence (1857-1906) was in that remote area when we likely had few citizens over there even in diplomatic service.
Then we see that GAT, Jr died in Bankok, Thailand in 2004 at the US Consulate. Again, a bit of a puzzle.

Does anyone know the WWT story and how he wound up in Teheran??
