Cyrus A Torrence of York Co, SC

I am working on the family of Cyrus A Torrence and could use some help on his parents.
He was born in 1853 and married a Mary Ann Starns and they had five children in the York County area of upper central South Carolina, say north of Chester.
I discovered that he went by Alexander in the 1900 census and he and wife and children including one the family did not know about, a young Cyrus A Torrence born in 1900, were living in Danville, Arkansas in that year. There were three more born in Danville for a total of 9. Most moved to the Barkersfield area of southern California.
