Hi Dewey,
Your message was directed to me but I'm sure the person who sent the Tetherow/Young message will read it.
I have studied Solomon Tetherow's wagon train diary, and several other documents, for several reasons. Looking for clues, for one. But also because he pioneered and settled close to my Hooker ancestors and to Levi Scott who was another Oregon pioneer and explorer who came from the same county in Illinois as the Hooker family. Levi Scott even served in the same Black Hawk War unit in Scott county, IL, as Washington Olney, another ancestor of mine whose parents have eluded me in spite of compiling a huge database of Olneys! They all seem to be kind of mixed together!
I have spent many hours going through Palatine records in PA and other places and still can't prove which Michael Tetherow is mine.
Joan Olsson
