Collier, Pratt or Tower - Cohasset, Mass
Seeking anyone who might have a copy of, or know where to obtain, the following genealogy, listed by the Library of Congress. It should pertain to the families descended from Thomas Collier, who came to Hingham, Mass., in 1635. South Shore Mass. libraries do not list it, and it is not in the stacks at NEHGS.
# S530 Genealogy of the Collier family of Cohasset, Mass. / compiled by Gilbert S. Tower. 1949. "24, 5 leaves; illu. Caption title. Reproduction of manuscript."
I am descended from Thomas Collier, who came to Hingham, Mass. in 1635, and whose descendants married both Pratts and Towers, I believe. I have a listing of about 330 Colliers/Collyers, which can be seen at my homepage -

I would love to share or exchange information
with any members of the Pratt or Tower families. My branch is descended from Ephraim Bowworth Collier, brother of Bridget Collier, who married Aaron Pratt April 6, 1758, in either Scituate or Cohasset. This branch can be traced back to Mary Chilton, of the Mayflower, her husband, John Winslow, Constant Southworth, and William Collier, all of early Plymouth Colony. I am in contact with several other branches of the South Shore Collier families. I know that the Pratts and Colliers of Cohasset were prominent in the shipping business in the 19th century, and well known in town affairs into the 20th, but I have not been in contact with any of those families.
