I am so excited to see that someone else is interested in the Towers from Worthington and Schoharie county.I am descended from Aurelia Tower. For 25 years I have been searching for her parents.I have thought all this time that she is Orril, ch of Samuel bp Nov 7, 1802 CR in Worthington. She is the one who married a Bloodgood (Abram, son of William).I have her birthdate as 4 Sep 1803.It is possible that this should be 1802 making her baptized one month later. She died 15 Feb 1881 prob in Hensonville, Greene, NY at the home of her daughter Caroline and son-in-law Frederick Makean.Abram and Aurelia's children were:
Louisa M b 22 Jun 1824, d 30 Apr 1893, m Wattles Brand
Samuel T b 6 Oct 1825, d 20 Sep 1868, m Martha Ratcliff
Caroline F b 21 Mar 1827, d 9 Feb 1917, m Fred. Makean (or McKean)
Betsey Ann b 20 Jun 1828 (cem shows 1829), d 1898, m David S Merwin
Nelson b 17 Mar 1831, m Amanda C __
Nelson ?F b 17 Mar 1832 (poss same)
Eunice Ellen b 29 Jul 1834, d 1 Jul 1894 (cem shows dob 1835, dod 1895), m Abram Allen Hoagland (my g-g grandparents)
Julia ?I b 19 Aug 1838
Aurelia had a sister Elizabeth. Here's the crux.Reformed Dutch Church record shows Abram Bloodgood married Aurelia James.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
