He appeared in Cartersville, VA (Cumberland Co.) in the period shortly after the War of 1812. He married 5 Jun 1818, Anne B. Fowler, daughter of James Fowler (d 1805) and Betsey Langham. He took over the tavern previously run by Fowler.
He was in Cartersville for the 1820 and 1830 censuses. He appears to have left there in 1830 (after the census) or in 1831. Son John b. in MO 1833-34. 1840?? 1850 in MO as posted. 1860?? etc.
Some Langhams were in St. Charles Co., and vicinity, which may explain the location.
