Hi,
I have a question about the Tower family in Texas. My great grandfather (Albert E. Tower) was born in Carthage, Panola County, Texas in 1872. He was born while his mother and father (Cornelia and Decker Tower) and his grandfather (Ibrook Tower) were on one of their frequent trips from their home in Michigan to the Carthage area. Decker and Ibrook were listed in the 1870 census for Texas as house carpenters.

I was wondering if one of the reasons that they traveled to Carthage so much was because they had family there also. Was your family in that area of Texas in the 1860s and 70s? Jim Tower
