Hobart is also listed in the 1880 Census data for North Adams, Berkshire, MA; and the 1900, 1910, and 1920 Census data for North Adams (resided at 154 Pleasant Street), Berkshire Co., MA. Lida is also listed in the 1880 Census data for North Adams, Berkshire Co., MA; and the 1900 Census data for North Adams (resided at 205 East Quincy Street), Berkshire Co., MA.
Hobart Chester Tower, born 15 or 16 Sep 1852 in MA, died 2 Oct 1923, and Lida E. Tower, born 23 Sep 1858 in MA, were children of a farmer, Chester L. Tower, born 16 Oct 1826 in Florida, Berkshire Co., MA, and Mary Ann Nelson, born 30 Nov 1832 in Florida, Berkshire Co., MA.
Hobart was employed as a farm laborer/plumbling and heating merchant/oil company manager. On 14 Oct 1874, he married Esther M. Kilbourn, born about 1856 in VT. The couple had two children (both born in MA): Annie Eloise Tower, born 2 Feb 1879, and Harry Hobart Tower, born 11 May 1886.
On 5 Aug 1875, Lida married a tannery worker, Barney S. Kemp, born Jan 1855 in MA. The couple had two children (both born in MA): Burdelle S. Kemp, born 30 Oct 1876, and Edward Elmwood Kemp, born 12 Mar 1881.
